Job Function<\/td>\n<\/td>\nThis candidate will be researching, designing, developing, prototyping, testing, evaluating, and productizing various protocols and algorithms that generally enable media delivery to mobile devices.<\/p>\n

Examples of current ongoing projects include:\u00a0<\/strong>
\n(1) algorithm design and prototyping for dynamic adaptive streaming over http (DASH) mobile clients
\n(2) protocols and algorithms that use application-layer FEC codes, to enable and enhance media delivery using UDP, HTTP and broadcast\/multicast networks to mobile devices.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Responsibilities<\/td>\n<\/td>\nProjects evolve over time and thus there is a strong<\/p>\n

requirement that a suitable candidate be flexible and versatile to be able to contribute to both current projects and any future projects. The suitable candidate will have skills that range from mathematical abstract research to practical protocol and algorithm evaluation and design to developing, testing and documenting product-quality implementations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Education Requirements<\/td>\n<\/td>\nRequired: Doctorate, Computer Engineering and\/or Computer Science and\/or Electrical Engineering<\/p>\n

Ph.D., preferably in computer science or electrical engineering, or other related engineering disciplines.
